Following the success of the fall 2015 NCAA Team Works™ Competition, Helper Helper is launching a BIGGER and BETTER community service competition (read the end-of-year review here).
Instead of a School vs. School format, we are challenging individual teams in a 2-month community service battle royal! The Team Challenge will conclude with a 64-team tournament with the best teams in each sport having the opportunity to win money for their charity of choice. All teams will have access to the Helper Helper community service app and web portal to track hours and communicate efforts.
Helper Helper is a volunteer management and tracking platform that helps student-athletes and service coordinators track, measure and communicate service efforts.
From the 100+ schools that participated in the fall Competition, over 1,500 track more than 70,000 hours of service in just 106 days. With a student-athlete app and coordinator web portal, Helper Helper simplifies the entire volunteering process.
“The Helper Helper community service app is easy to manage and is very accessible to student-athletes. It is convenient to me because I can access it at any time of the day. I really enjoy the idea that I am able to see how the rest of the teams are doing; giving me an insight on how much I have to catch up or who’s leading. I also am able to see how I am doing as an individual and how much I have contributed to my team.” –Student-Athlete
During the Team Challenge, teams from NCAA DI, DII and DIII will be taking on other teams in a head-to-head tournament. Participation in the 2016 Spring Competition using the Helper Helper platform and community service app is free to all NCAA-affiliated teams.
